Where to find fossils and dinosaur footprints in the Hastings area will be explained in an illustrated talk at the Shipwreck Museum, Rock-a-Nore Road, Hastings on Sunday 25th August starting at 2.30 p.m.
Some of the largest dinosaurs lived in the Hastings area before they all died out millions of years ago, and the evidence can still be seen in local rocks – if you know where to look!
The talk, by Ken Brooks, local geologist and Chairman of the Hastings & District Geological Society, will include images on a large screen showing where to see dinosaur footprints and how to recognise fossils on the beach. You will see how fossils can be used to understand the animals and environments of 140 million years ago.
At the end of the talk the new Dinosaur Diorama and fossils display will be unveiled.
Places are limited so call 01424 437452 to book. Entry is £3 for adults and £2 for children.
