This is our first guided walk of the year to view the wreck of the Amsterdam! An opportunity not to be missed. Please note that in 2020 there are fewer favourable tides, which means we have less opportunities to view the wreck.
If you are interested in seeing this unique piece of our local heritage, which also has national and international significance, then you should make your way to the Viewing Platform, which is to be found by Bulverhythe Beach at the far side of the railway bridge at the end of Bridge Way, West St Leonards by 7:25am.
The cost is £6 for adults and £2 for children and this price includes a copy of the fully-illustrated Amsterdam guidebook by Dr Peter Marsden, founder of the Museum and renowned expert on the wreck. Tickets can be purchased from the walk leaders on the day itself but it is recommended that, if possible, you book beforehand, either in person at the Shipwreck Museum or by telephone on 01424 437452. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org to indicate that you will be joining the visit and then pay on the day. Please wear suitable footwear!
